The 10th Nanjing MAD competition is officially open!

The Nanjing MAD competition has been held for nine years. Originally organized by the Liuhuo Anime Club of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, it is now hosted by the Nanjing University MAD Research Group. We hope everyone enjoys participating and has a great time!

The contest is not limited to the Nanjing area; all mader can participate.

This contest has no track divisions; entries are reviewed based on overall performance score.


  1. Submitted works must comply with Bilibili's animation category submission standards. Submissions involving violence, pornography, antisocial or anti-human content are strictly prohibited, as are those involving sensitive political topics. Any violation will result in the disqualification of all entries from the contestant.
  2. For animated works, video edits, and GMVs, the duration should be between 45 seconds and 10 minutes. For still-image/PV submissions, the duration must be longer than 30 seconds. Loops are prohibited, as well as theft and plagiarism. There are no restrictions on style, but imitations are not accepted.
  3. The competition allows multiple submissions from one participant, with the final award being based on the best submission result.
  4. All submissions are non-anonymous and will go through a nomination and ranking round. The number of nominations will be determined based on the total number of submissions and their overall quality, selecting 60%-70% of the total entries (depending on quality and quantity). Nominated works will be scored by judges, and final rankings will be determined based on reasonable criteria.
  5. After the submission deadline, the list of nominated works will be announced within a few days. One week after the announcement, the specific rankings and individual award winners will be revealed. Please refrain from publicly sharing your submissions before the nomination results are announced. Once the nomination results are released, non-nominated works may be made public, while nominated works can only be made public after the release of the nomination collection.
  6. The resolution for submissions must be at least 720P and up to 4K. There are no frame rate restrictions, but the bitrate must be controlled within 15,000 kbps. The submissions should be in H.264 encoded MP4 format (4K resolution supports a maximum frame rate of 60fps or lower).

If it is a collaborative work, name it as 【Group Name】- Work Title. Additionally, include a TXT document in the email, specifying the Bilibili ID and UID of the author(s). For collaborative works, list all participants involved in the project. 

       A few days before the nominated works are made public, there will be a preview release of a submission created by members of the organizing committee, the Nanjing University MAD Research Group (hereinafter referred to as NUMP). Additionally, members from the Xi'an MAD Frontline will participate as special guests in what is called a Performance Exchange.

  • The submissions for the Performance Exchange are allcreated by NUMP members or Xi'an MAD Frontline members.,Nominated WorksandNon-nominated Worksare all eligible to participate.
  • Before the preliminary results of the Performance Exchange are announced, there will be daily showcases, with participants from both organizations presenting their works in segments. This will foster friendly exchanges between the two groups.
  • The Performance Exchange focuses solely on creating a joyful and fun atmosphere.
