   Love is the end of this universe.

 

   Our lives are shaped by what we love.

 

The theme of this competition is love. Everyone has their own answer to "love", yet every answer represents love. It is because of love that we live; because of love, we die.

If EXC#2 was about hoping everyone could find time amidst life to do what they want, then this EXC#3 hopes everyone will share everything about love - whether familial love, friendship, romance, hobbies, nostalgia, memories, feelings toward people/objects/events/actions, all warm or even twisted emotions... these are all part of love. For creation, just this tiny reason is enough. (This isn't restricting what anyone makes, because the act of creation itself is already powered by love - so this time, just do what you love.)

This competition remains positioned as a creative showcase platform for niche community enthusiasts. A quality video often brims with the creator's personal emotions - whether in each storyboard's design or every narrative arrangement, it should convey the creator's passion for the source material or their vibrant, unique creative drive.

    Therefore, for this competition, we hope to receive works that can tell a good story or create an immersive atmosphere, allowing the audience to become fully engaged. Alternatively, we welcome creative works with unique ideas and cohesive shot designs.

 

 

Submissions are open from today until April 1, 2025. The competition results will be announced within two weeks after the submission deadline.

This competition will not employ a scoring or ranking system. The selection method follows an inclusion-based system, where entries receiving approval from over half of the judges will be successfully included. The final number of selected works will be determined solely by the judging results without preset quantity restrictions.

In addition to the selected entries, we will separately establish Judges' Pick Awards, where each judge will choose one favorite work from all competition entries as their nominated pick.

During the selection process, with the exception of the Static category, an anonymous submission mechanism will be implemented. All invited judges are accomplished creators recognized by the organizers for their genuine approach to creative work. The competition will remain completely free from popularity metrics or personal biases, with final results determined solely through anonymous voting by judges and organizers. Judge details will be announced in a follow-up feature article.

For the Static category, submissions can be made immediately by participating in the topic "EXC3 Go Love Go Cry Go Doubt" - available now with no anonymity requirement.

 

 

Authors of selected competition entries will receive EXC#3 finalist merchandise (individual production cost starting from 200 RMB).

1. The Editing Track accepts submissions for AMVs, ASMV, and film editing.

2. The duration requirement for submissions in all tracks is a minimum of 30 seconds.

3. There are no restrictions on resolution or frame rate for all submissions.

4. Collaborative submissions are accepted, with the number of prizes determined by the number of participants. However, the duration requirement for the work is a minimum of 30 seconds multiplied by the number of participants.

5. For Instagram-style submissions, please choose the track based on the content of your work or leave it to the organizers to determine the appropriate track.

6. Due to the anonymous review mechanism, please do not include any organizational or personal logos in your submissions.

7. All submitted works are prohibited from being shared individually before the competition results are made public; otherwise, they will be considered invalid entries.

8. For individual submissions, you may include 【EXC#3】 in the title and select the event EXC3 Go Love Go Cry Go Doubt when submitting, as well as add the tag EXC3 Go Love Go Cry Go Doubt to participate in the topic. This helps with audience searches and later official playlist curation of individual submissions (optional).
