黄金祭 (MIRAI MAD GOLD CONTEST, abbreviated as MMGC) has accompanied everyone for more than ten years since its launch in 2013, giving birth to countless outstanding creators and works during the event period. This XIII contest, the 2026 MIRAI MAD GOLD CONTEST, will continue to take “still image MAD” as its theme.

Event Rules

A combination of selection and invitation system

1. Selection System

All submitted works will be reviewed by the official MMGC Organizing Committee, and whether they are selected will depend on the quality of the submission.

Registration Method: Authors can join the event's QQ group and submit their works to the organizer or main coordinator for registration. Alternatively, they can register on the Bilibili event page when it becomes available later.

2. Invitation System

Authors who were selected in the previous edition, as well as certain authors contacted by the organizers, will be invited by the event team to participate.

Authors confirmed to participate through either of these methods will receive an invitation letter or a letter of appreciation from MMGC.

Submission Types

This contest only accepts still image MAD works.

Still Image MAD : is a type of multimedia work created mainly using static images, with materials sourced from manga, game CGs, artbooks, light novel illustrations, and more. The creator uses video-editing software to turn these materials into a dynamic video work, recreating storylines and expressing personal ideas.

Submission Requirements:

1. All submitted works must, under normal circumstances, include a visible label of “MMGC 2026” at an appropriate position (you may use the official logo, create your own, or mark it as MMGC2026).

2. Work size requirements: Unless otherwise needed, the resolution must be no less than 720p (if a special resolution is required, please inform the organizers).

3. Frame rate requirement: Must not exceed 60 FPS.

4. Time requirement: the duration of the work must be no less than 1 min 20 s and no more than 8 min.

5. Format: MP4 format.

6. Size requirement: Must not exceed 1000 MB.

7. Encoding: Please submit the encoded version with a bitrate of up to 6000 kbps.

Prohibited Description

1. Submissions that are complete replicas will not be accepted (parodies are allowed).

2. Submissions of previously published works (including original files that have been publicly released) will not be accepted.

3. The use of stolen materials, three-cut edits, and other unethical practices is strictly prohibited.

4. The forced inclusion of real-world advertisements in the work is strictly prohibited.

5. Content directly involving pornography, gambling, drugs, as well as excessively gory or explicit imagery, is strictly prohibited.

6. The use of materials that violate the laws of the People's Republic of China is strictly prohibited.

7. Submissions that are clearly unfinished will not be accepted.

8. Submitted works must not be submitted to multiple contests simultaneously (no duplicate submissions).

Submission Method

Contestants should package their work, cover image, and a txt document (stating the work title, author ID, QQ, group/category, Bilibili UID, and whether you would like the judges to share their comments on the work) into a compressed archive, and send it to goldcontest@163.com before 24:00 on May 21, 2026, or contact the contest QQ group owner or administrators.

Public release date:May 26, 2026 (the duration of the event may be adjusted based on the number of submissions)

Work Feedback

This year's MMGC will invite judges from both domestic and international backgrounds to provide feedback on the selected works. Each selected author will receive at least one piece of feedback. (The organizers may also participate in writing feedback, depending on the situation.)

Event Statement

1. If a selected author's work needs to be exclusively submitted elsewhere, please submit it 12 hours after the event is publicly announced. (For special circumstances, please discuss with the organizers.)

2. All judges and committee members are allowed to participate in the event.

3. The submitted works for this year's MMGC will be publicly released simultaneously on Bilibili, Niconico, YouTube, Twitter, and the official MMGC website.

MIRAI MAD TEAM, founded on Mar 17, 2012, has grown to over a hundred members and mainly creates anime MADs and PVs. Current leader: 路过的珂学家.

Since 2013, the group has hosted[Golden Festival MAD Awards]event, accumulating over a decade of experience. Initially, the MMGC MAD event followed an invitational format. As time progressed, the format was changed to a selection system to attract more outstanding MAD works, and it expanded internationally, inviting MAD creators from other countries to participate.
